Service November - February

My service for the past four months has been quite slow. There haven't been too many occasions to help at my mosque as their has not been too many functions. However, there was two or three events in December, the most notable ones being at New Years Eve and Christmas Day. The one at New Years stretched on until about 1am, where I was working for most of the time. Other than the ones in the break, there were a few that appeared after school started.

Creativity November - February

For the past four months, I have kept up my drumming. Jazz band twice a week and Concert band 2-3 times a week. This pattern continued until the end of the first semester in the third week of December. For the break, I did not do any drumming. When the second semester started, it was back to the same routine, until the High School Musical practices started. Once they started, I was needed Monday afternoons and Thursday mornings. As February started, the practices started to merge with the cast ones, meaning that I was staying in school until six o'clock nearly everyday, drumming with the cast.

During these few months I have been busy. I finished the Track and Field season after two more track meets, and I joined the varsity hockey team which had practice every day of the week for one hour and twenty minutes each. We had a total of eight matches and three tournaments, and I played in each match in the starting line-up. This means that I was playing hockey for over six hours each week, and to my action service.

Creativity: September - October

For my creativity, I have been playing the drums in multiple school bands: the concert band and jazz band. Each week, I play about 4-6 hours in both bands combined and I have not missed a single practice. I want to improve my skills, but learning new techniques and styles is quite difficult.

Action: September - October

For my action category, I have joined the track team and I have been attending regular practices three times a week for the past eight weeks. I am committed to this team and I will show up when I am needed to participate in any track meets.

Service: September - October

Over the course of the past to months, my primary service has been to my mosque. When I attend in the evenings, I stay after the processions have finished and help with the distribution of food. I also have been helping by serving food at events that take place at the mosque. All together, I have distributed food 5 times and served at two events, one being today and the other last week.
